91 Magazine

Getting to peek into beautiful homes has always been a guilty pleasure of mine. In another life I’d like to be a cat to acceptably peer through people’s windows. 91 Magazine, a design and lifestyle magazine, fills the void wonderfully.

Caroline Rowland, founder and editor of 91 Magazine, decided to create her own magazine when she realised that there were no magazines on the market covering all aspects of a creative life (check out her great 3-part blog about the journey to print 91 Magazine).

91 Magazine: Inspiring a Creative Lifestyle

91 Magazine peeps into houses and apartments that are renovated and decorated with contemporary aesthetic influences; often inspired by the owners’ creative lives. Often mixing vintage and modern styles, and incorporating handmade pieces, 91 Magazine is fresher and more innovative than mainstream design magazines.

The Instagram Edit is one of my favourite features in the magazine; it’s a great example of how print and digital can work together – connecting like-minded creative people and inspiring readers’ creativity. A quarterly e-zine and newsletter and blog point to 91 Magazine’s digital roots, and now run alongside the magazine, keeping 91 Magazine with one foot in both print and digital.
